authonomy Showcase: Noelle Pierce

Name Noelle Pierce (selestiele)

Location Atlanta, GA, USA

Occupation Online psychology instructor

How long have you been on authonomy?
Since June 2009.

How do you use the site – are you a reader or a writer?
Both. I joined because I'd just started writing and wanted feedback, but I am first and foremost a reader. I use it to network, too. My critique partners are all from authonomy, and my writing has improved significantly since I joined.

What are you working on at the moment?
I'm editing the first book in my historical romance story line, and writing a paranormal romance/urban fantasy story. I'm also helping promote the erotica anthology, Dancing in the Dark, which was written by eight authors from authonomy.

How does writing fit into your life? When do you make time for it?
Writing has become a major part of my life, but working, being a student, and having two small kids makes it challenging. Luckily, I've always been a night person, so I write when my kids go to bed most nights. Usually from 9 PM until 1 AM before I give in to sleep.

Describe to us where you write…
I'm easily distracted, so I need to avoid unusual sights/sounds. I am most productive at home, in my office, with my headphones on, drowning out all other sounds.

What are your ambitions as an author, what would you like to achieve?
I'd like to have my series published, but then, who wouldn't? If I could write for a living and not have to keep a day job, that would be fabulous. But I'm not holding my breath.

Which book on authonomy should we all be reading?
Let's see. I'm going to ignore the singular "book" in the question and list three: JD Revene's (JDRevene) Appetites, Michelle Ritz's (MichelleRitz) Chimera, and Gerald Johnson's (ShakespearesTalkingHead) Dropcloth Angels.

Love love love!!!! Noelle Pierce, AND her novel. I am an avid book buyer, but I'm VERY picky. I'd buy her book though, no doubt about it!

Any day now I expect to walk by a bookstore, stop to look at the display in the window, and say to myself, 'Hey, I know her.'

A talented, and dedicated writer surely destined to achieve her goals.
