Our friends at Byte the Book run some amazing events helping authors and publishers understand the latest developments in technology and make useful connections in the digital age. Their next event is on Monday 8th July, and they'll be at The Club at the Ivy, 9 West Street, WC2H 9NE from 6:30 - 9:30pm. Following on from the enormous success of their Author Experience panel last July there’ll be a chance again to hear from some content producers doing some innovative things in the digital age.
Byte the Book founder, Justine Solomons, will be hosting, The Author Experience II and the panel will be chaired by Helen Bagnell (author and co-founder of Salon London). Helen will be in discussion with Michele Gorman (hybrid author and one of the founders of publishing collective Notting Hill Press), Dave Morris (author of an interactive novel based on Mary Shelley’s Frankenstein), Suzanne Azzopardi (with @pippatips co-author of When One is Expecting: A Posh Person’s Guide to Pregnancy and Parenting) and Lisa Jewell (best selling author of many books including Before I Met You, Thirtynothing and Ralph’s Party).
They are particularly keen to bring as many authors into the network as possible, and so for this month only they'd like to invite members of Authonomy along for free (tickets are usually £15 in advance, or £20 on the door). Hopefully you'll enjoy the event and decide to join the network. Tickets can be booked here and the promotional code for free entry is NewYorkTrilogy.
